Arctic15 is less than two weeks away. We’ve worked with multiple different organisations to spice up the week and it seems it’s full of interesting startup action for everyone. In this post, we’ve covered the different events and activities taking place that week. We’ll also link to this post from the Arctic15 website and update this accordingly.
Tuesday, 20th September
Frozen Rails – Day 1
The first day of Frozen Rails takes place at the Finlandia Hall. The event is aimed at developers working with, well, Rails. The event will feature international speakers and influencers of the scene.
Rails Girls is an initiative to get girls started with coding. The event coincides with Frozen Rails. More info available on the project website.
Wednesday, 21th September
Frozen Rails – Day 2
The second day of Frozen Rails continues at the Finlandia Hall with more international and industry speakers. The evening is topped off with an after party at a venue to-be-announced.
Rails Girls is also a two day event event to get women into coding.
UK Trade and Investment – Eager to flourish?
The UK embassy organises an afternoon event with talks about how to expand your business to the UK and how they can help you in the process of doing so. The event will also have the British Ambassador welcome the guests personally and company case studies to explain in detail how others have expanded into the UK. Event from 13.30 to 17.30, RSVP required.
Started in Denmark, the Nordic Meetup looks to gather entrepreneurs from the region around a casual setting to mingle and network. Nordic Meetup will take place for the first time in Helsinki as well in Aussie Bar, close to the Kamppi shopping centre. The event will start at 7pm and free registration is now open for those interested.
Thursday, 22nd September
Arctic15 is the showcase event of the Nordics and Baltics where the hottest startups meet, get presented and take their business further. Arctic15 will see close to 400 people from all around the region talking startups. The event is also a favorite among European top-tier investors and international media (we have Reuters, Bloomberg and Forbes coming).
Friday, 23rd September
ArcticStartup in co-operation with VC Zone, will organise a matchmaking event for VCs and startups. Applications for the event have already closed. The event will take place at Innopoli 2 from 9.00 to 13.00.
As you can see, the week is full of awesome startup action. All the above mentioned events take place in Helsinki and have more information about the schedules behind the representative links.
As a final note, we’d like to remind you that Arctic15 will very likely be sold out by next week. We’ve sold a lot of tickets this week and by the pace they’ve been registered – they will most likely run out before the end of next week.
