Adform Finding Online Advertising Growth In Southern Europe's Economies

Irregardless of the stagnent economies in southern Europe, the Danish online advertising platform, Adform, has opened up a regional office in Spain to target the growth they’ve seen since opening an office in Italy just 10 months ago. The company’s cloud-based platform allows advertisers to manage the entire add buying process, from planning, buying, optimizing, and analyzing. In Spain, online advertising represents 15% of total advertising, in a market of more than €800 million.

Miguel Fernandez-Gil, Adform’s new business development director in Spain says,”While the rest of the media market has prorogued, online display advertising here has increased by 14%. The rich media market (including video formats), in particular, is gaining ground and now represents more than EUR70 million. There are not enough tools to handle demand in Spain.”

Part of their success can be attributed to their “Real Time Bidding”. With this program, buying inventory is fully automated on three different models– you can either hit a wide audience for branding purposes, a performance model that hits targeted users, and a re-engage model to bring back specific visitors. If you have your ads ready, you assign the budget you want to spend, define how you want to spend it and you are good to go. Ads are then displayed on their network of Ad Exchanges.

The company already has a large market share in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Germany, and Italy, and the company aspires to become a leading
supplier in its sector in the pan-European market in 2012.

Adform was established in Denmark in 2002.
