A Lithuanian based social gaming company and developer of such games, Yummi Apps has announced that they are finalising work on their game combining social and mobile features – Wizardia. The game will connect these two mega trends in real-time to create a new gaming experience, according to the company’s press release.
“With social gaming growing at unprecedented rates, the new multi-player game will introduce unique technology that will radically change the social gaming experience,” says Tomas Kacevicius, founder of Yummi Apps. “Our unique GPS integration system will let social gamers take their online experience outside. This means that players will literally be able to play each other on the streets of their city to gain extra benefits and real life prizes”.
Wizardia combines two gaming genres – city-building and real time turn based combat through mobile technology. It sounds very similar to the features/strengths Shadow Cities by Grey Area is built on. That is natural though, as location based services continue to keep the mobile platforms interesting this year.
Players will be able to play Wizardia through a Facebook application or through their mobile as an Android or an iOS application. The main game play will take place on Facebook though, where as the mobile is an extra extension to gain credits and access exclusive features.
Yummi Apps is from Lithuania and founded in 2008. It plans to release Wizardia later this autumn.
