On the weekend of August 22-24 TechHub Riga will host 10 most promising teams of startup and digital media enthusiasts from Northern Europe and Poland for an intensive 3-day bootcamp – The Digital Media Startup Academy . The organising team promises a vibrant, fast-paced, extremely practical event with digital industry professional presentations, 1-on-1 advice and tailored mentorship combined with product development and socialising with similarly thinking founders and investors.

The main focus of the weekend will be on getting the admitted startups to the next level. First the participants will run short pitches of their ideas and receive initial feedback. This will be followed by practical presentations on digital marketing, product development and digital media startups, during which participants will apply the gained knowledge on their own products and sign up for individual 1-on-1 slots with mentors. The Academy will finish with a demo event with presentations to investors and public.

The mentor line-up is well-suited for the topic: teams will receive guidance from people like Uldis Leiterts (founder of Infogr.am), Egils Boitmanis (Infinitum8, CEO), Jessica Andersson (MTGx MediaFactory), Patrik Jansson (MTGx), Andris K. Berzins (Buzztale CEO, TechHub Riga founder), Jarmo Kuusivuori (expert in business management and strategy) and Arturs Mednis (managing director of Inspired Digital).

As the initiative is financed by Latvian Investment and Development Agency and European Union ERDF, this is a good chance to participate in one of those high-quality energising TechHub  weekend events completely for free.
