“We have started democratizing IoT development”

Open source developer device Thingsee One is now available for everyone.

Oulu-based IoT startup Thingsee has announced starting the deliveries of their smart sensor device Thingsee One today. The ready-to-use device is designed to make developing new services and applications faster, easier and less expensive.

The company also launches today a public beta version of their tool for visual programming, the Thingsee Creator. Creator app enables creating prototypes and testing new use cases in only few minutes.

“We have started democratizing IoT development,” states the CEO of Thingsee, Pasi Jokinen.

The device was introduced to the public last autumn through a Kickstarter campaign in which the company gathered from its supporters over $100 000. The production of Thingsee One started in July.

In comparison to other IoT development devices as Raspberry Pi and Arduino, Thingsee One is waterproof and it has battle tested structure that can handle pressure. The device can be connected through wifi, bluetooth and cellular network – And the data can be gathered through a variety of sensors.
