Serial entrepreneur Cristobal Alonso will take over at the helms of Startup Wise Guys (SWG) as the accelerator expands its business beyond the Estonian capital.
Last week SWG said its first programme in Riga will start in September and it will focus on B2B and SaaS startups. Next Tallinn programme is scheduled for early 2017.
Calum Cameron, who has headed SWG over the last few years will continue with the accelerator, focusing on strategy, supporting the new team, and work on the second edition of Telia Eesti’s telecom accelerator VUNK.
Alonso, who has been involved in the accelerator as a mentor, shared his insight into co-founder-CEO roles in summer 2015 issue of CoFounder Magazine.
“I have been involved in more than 15 startups in 20 different countries as a founder, early CEO, investor, and lately as an advisor. I love what I do and I care about the success of the startups I am in contact with,” he said.
