SongHi Grabs Telefonica deal to expand digital music teaching platform to Spanish markets

More future of learning news today. SongHi Entertainment announces that they’ve signed a big collaboration deal with Telefónica and Telefónica Digital Education, which specializes in learning solutions in more than 13 Spanish speaking markets. With the deal they’re getting SongHi onto Telefónica’s Scolartic platform, getting their digital music learning platform into the hands of 20,000 Spanish speaking teachers. To date SongHi has been used by over 10,000 students from 300 Finnish schools.

It’s been some time since we last wrote about SongHi – in 2010 we were covering how SongHi allows anyone to collaboratively create music in the browser. But since then they’ve expanded onto mobile phones, with their first games, Melody Monsters and Diamond Duo soft launched in Finland, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as digital learning products, with SongHi for Schools launched in Spring of 2014.

“Cooperation with a powerful operator such as Telefónica, is a significant step towards the international market for us. Telefónica’s distribution network covers the launch of our learning products in Spain and 12 in Spanish-speaking Latin American countries, “CEO of SongHi Jussi Aronen says. “The Finnish education is the best in the world. Digital learning solutions, market buoyancy and growth in expertise means companies such the likes of SongHi have a chance to succeed in a competitive market with these products, that are immersive and promote learning, “Aronen continues.
