Roaming charges end within EU in 2017

Starting from June 2017, the consumers can use mobile devices while travelling in the EU region paying the domestic prices, announces European Commission.

EU-citizens don’t need to worry about roaming prices within EU starting in June 2017

The European Parliament, Council and Commission have reached an agreement on key elements for pushing towards a single market in telecom, says the European Commission. The agreement includes a decision to end roaming charges when traveling in EU starting in 2017 and an introduction to new rules for safeguarding the open Internet in the EU.

From consumers perspective, ending roaming means that starting from 15th of June 2017, you can use mobile devices while travelling in the EU region paying the same amount you would pay in your home country. Already in April 2016, the prices will be decreasing.
