Google launches a new $2000 hardware kit for Hangouts and picks a sensor camera manufactured by a startup from Norway called Huddly.
Only this spring Huddly raised a $10 million, and today they partner with Google to conquer the world with their cameras. The deal does not disclose the volume of cameras to be sent to Google from Norway, but the number will be large.
This deal is unique for the fact that Google picks a 4-year-old growth company like Huddly and not another giant like Logitech. We believe this is a great example for corporates who are careful in making deals with startups, and a great example for startups to make their way to big-time clients.
