One Minute Startup News: Festivality

Estonian startup Festivality, who you might remember from Arctic15 has raised €300 000 round of financing led by Change Ventures and angel investors including Johannes Jõgi from TransferWise. The money will be used to develop its data platform that they promise will reshape the consumer events industry.

Festivality focuses on consumer events and festivals offering full-service mobile solutions for both event organisers and attendees. The platform powers events with smart, custom-branded, data-driven mobile apps with integrated mCommerce and mobile payments. What that means that event-goers receive more information and experiences and event organisers get additional revenue streams.

The company was selected as an official event apps platform for Tallinn Music Week, one of Germany´s largest tech festivals Tech Open Air Berlin, and the leading Baltic jazz festivals promoter Jazzkaar. All these events have a range of 20 000 to 50 000 fans and visitors.

Consumer events industry is largely an offline industry. One of the biggest problem there is the fact that promoters, artists and brands today have no easy way to target and access data on the event fans. Festivality is on a mission to make events experience more engaging on mobile.
