Lund-based FlatFrog Technologies announced late yesterday it picked up a huge $10 million (€7.35 million) funding round on the heels of Las Vegas’ Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES). The round was led by Invus, Sunstone Capital, and Intel Capital and will be used to help commercaialize FlatFrog’s multi-touch technology for PC applications.

Flatfrog’s touch screen technology uses a single cover glass and employs “zero air gap technology” which allows hardware designers to create edge-to-edge designs that are thinner, lighter, and eliminate parallax issues when viewing at wide angles.
Additionally FlatFrog Touch natively supports pressure sensing with over 10-bit resolution. FlatFrog Touch enables pressure sensitive drawing and writing without the need for an active stylus, as well as new application gestures for music, gaming and smart user interfaces.
