HolidayPhone announces it has appointed Emma Heimonen as CEO of the Swedish solution to mobile roaming. Heimonen has replaced Joacim Boivie, founder of HolidayPhone, who has served as CEO since the start of the company in 2010. Joacim Boivie will stay in the company as part of the board of directors.
We’ve seen a number of companies target data roaming, but HolidayPhone is interesting as it also supports cheap standard phone calls when abroad in 28 countries. HolidayPhone is available as a pay-as-you-go sim card, where you are still reached on your standard number.
Before this new role, Heimonen served as CEO of mTrotter, the B2B mobile travel app targeting corporate travel.
