Dreaming of hacking the telecommunications industry?

    Garage48, Eesti Telekom and Startup Wise Guys partner to support startups with telecom development ideas in Estonia.

    Estonian accelerator program VUNK – hosted by Eesti Telekom, Garage48 and Startup Wise Guys – searches for innovative startups developing both B2B and B2C telecom solutions. The main fields of concentration on the program are mobile commerce, internet of things, communication and connectivity.

    The main goal of VUNK is to create collaborative business models benefiting both customers and the telecom service providers – And to bring out fresh ideas as well as develop further existing products and services.

    Before the actual 4-week accelerator program starts in September, the organizers give the interested startups an opportunity to participate in VUNK Garage48 Telecom hackathon weekend (28–30th of August) at Kultuurikatel in Tallinn. The event is expected to bring together over 120 participants with different backgrounds to develop solutions with the help of a group of mentors with experience in business development or telecommunications.

    If you’re interested in creating new concepts for telecom industry, you may register to the VUNK Garage48 Telecom weekend here. Before the weekend, also two idea garages are arranged in Tallinn on August 13th and 27th, where one may already start forming teams for the official hackathon weekend.

    The five top teams of the hackathon weekend will get a spot in the next round of the program – And finally two teams will be selected to participate on the 4-week intensive accelerator program starting on September 28th, which is arranged in cooperation with Startup Wise Guys. These two teams will also receive €10 000 of equity free funding for their team.
