February 8 - February 9
TechChill in Riga is the leading tech event in the Baltics that brings together founders, entrepreneurs, challengers and curious minds.
This year TechChill is reinventing the pitch battle format. In previous years many promising startups didn’t get to pitch on the big stage, as the event only offered the opportunity to the top five finalists. This year, the event will showcase 50 of the most promising startups and offer them all stage time on the first day of the event. Plus, the startups will get a direct access to an audience of international VC’s, business angels, accelerators, media and of course, the official jury. The finalists will still take the main stage on the last day to an audience of 2000 people and compete for the 10 000 EUR prize in cash, with no strings attached.
The event will host representatives from around 100 venture capital firms, corporate VC’s, business angels and accelerators. Currently signed up participants include Startup Sauna, Startup Wise Guys, Index Ventures, Cavalry Ventures, InReach Ventures, Vertical VC, 500 Startups, Hoxton Ventures, Techstars, StartupBootcamp IOT, Hardware Club, Change Ventures, EstBan, Karma Ventures, EBRD, LauncHub, NordicBan, Open Ocean, Superhero Capital and much more.
Previous TechChill pitch battle winners include Baltic success stories such as Infogr.am, TrackDuck, Edurio, Nordigen and Sprayprinter. This year the organizers expect a lot more competition from startups in the Nordics and CEE.
