The 69th International Astronautical Congress – IAC2018 is coming to the space city of Bremen, Germany. It is the one time of the year opportunity when about 4,000 space actors from all over the world come together.
The IAC2018 theme is “involving everyone” stands for unity and inclusiveness of space sector for all. The event program will place special emphasis on the new generation of space experts, the expansion of equal opportunities, the integration of new countries and start-up companies into the global space network, as well as increasing the public participation.
One of the highlights of the event will be the Next Generation Plenary. Wednesday 3 October 2018, 08:30 – 09:30 in the Bremen Conference Center – DLR Hall 6 panelists from around the world that are making an impact will address how they expect to advance knowledge, improve conditions, protect life and property, and increase prosperity for an expanding portion of the global population through the use of Small Sats.
The plenary will be moderated by Agnieszka Lukaszczyk, Director for European Union Policy at Planet and will be animated by the interventions of students and young professionals bringing the story of how they are engaged in developing or using these applications from the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, Aerospace department of Bauman State Technical University (BMSTU), Exotrail, University of Sidney, Simera Sense, and Global Science & Technology, Inc.
Besides that, the program will include over 180 technical sessions, daily highlight lectures, panel discussions and associated events which are focusing on different topics and target groups ranging from law via international cooperation through to a congress for young professionals – only to mention a few.
