We decided to publish a collection of awesome tools and toys.

    4. Jetpacks – the JB-9

    The JB-9 jetpack is a jet turbine-powered backpack able of vertical take-offs and landings. With a fly-time of around 10 minutes, it is the furthest developed jetpack so far. The design is made for a pilot to carry and easily store in the trunk of a car. The model JB-9 is capable of taking the pilot to kilometres of height at top speed of around 120km/h.     3. Hoverboards – Omni Hoverboards

    Many flying enthusiasts have heard or seen the board that has a tube going to the water which propulse the pilot up in the air. This one is similar, but without any hoses. We are talking about a flying board just as one the Green Goblin had, portrayed by Willem Dafoe in Tobey Maguires first Spiderman movie. The Omni hoverboard is a fan-driven flying platform that allows the pilot to hover at around 5 metres height. The Omni hoverboards inventor, Canadian Alexander Duru is currently the world record holder in distance for hoverboards, achieving a distance of 275 meters with their Mark 1 model.

    2. Flying bikes – Flying motorbike concept

    The Flike is a full electric tricopter motorcycle developed in Hungary. The Flike sold their first units to.. no suprize here – Dubai in Q1 of 2016. With no prices revealed, probably at the better end of 200,000 euros you can get your own, orders taken this year. The Flike is designed for one pilot, top speed 100km/h, limited to 30 metres in height and fly-time around an hour. A beast that competes with supercars in engineering awesomeness and sex appeal.

    1. Facebook’s infrastructure drone – Internet.org

    An effort to connect the whole world to Internet. Facebook has been working on ways to beam internet to people from the sky. Facebook’s Connectivity Lab is doing to build drones, satellites and lasers to deliver the internet to everyone in the world.

    The team has many of the world’s leading experts in aerospace and communications technology, including from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab and Ames Research Center and Ascenta, a small UK-based company whose founders created early versions of Zephyr, which became the world’s longest flying solar-powered unmanned aircraft.
