TechChill Baltics is back on Feb 11: early bird tickets on till Monday

Riga’s flagship startup event TechChill Baltics celebrates its 5th anniversary this year. Intriguing speakers, fierce pitch battle, networking with style and even a special event theme. Here are some highlights this year:

    Fun and engaging atmosphere

The 5th TechChill Baltics conference runs in a celebration mood. Running under #ready2gamble hashtag, the event and its official video are styled in risky casino poker game atmosphere.

    Fierce pitch battle

10 best startups will get a chance to participate in mentoring sessions on February 10th, 2016, and 5 of them will be nominated to pitch at TechChill conference on Feb 11th, 2016.

TechChill pitch winners demonstrate good track record. Last year’s winner Edurio has tested its product in Latvia, UK and India, raised money in Australia and partnered with several education institutions and initiatives. A year before TrackDuck closed a 275,000$ investment round right after winning the pitch contest. The first pitch contest winner Infogr.am has raised 3.08$ million and is now buying other startups.

Applications for pitch battle are open till Jan 18th, 7pm (Riga time) here.

    Speakers with hands-on experience

One of the headliners is Ross Kingsland, CEO at Inception Growth and mentor at Virgin StartUp, who visits the Baltics for the first time. Throughout his career Ross has built communication strategies and – alongside his team – has trained multi million dollar businesses and leaders to achieve the result they are seeking. His client list includes such brands as Lamborghini, Virgin, Sainsbury’s, NHS, City Of Aberdeen, Ernst & Young and more.

The conference also welcomes Silje Vallestad, the Founder and CEO at Bipper, a multiple award winning mobile safety company that develops bSafe application, on stage. Being recognized as the Norwegian Female Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011 and honoured as the Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2013, Silje has become one of the greatest influencers in the Nordics and acknowledged speakers on entrepreneurship, safety technology and innovation.

Among other speakers are Roberto Bonanzinga, Co-Founder and Investment Partner at InReach Ventures, Tal Catran, Founder of TC Holdings and Mentor at Nielsen Innovate and MassChallenge accelerators, Bart Lorang, CEO at FullContact, Monty Munford, experienced writer for Forbes, TechCrunch, WIRED and The Telegraph, Founder of Mob76 and ex-Communication Director at Victoria Real, the company that designed and built the website to stream the UK’s first TV series of Big Brother, and many more.

    Focus on startup growth

The event focuses on startup growth this year. Main topics include business development, marketing and funding. As always, the conference offers great keynotes and panel discussions and a wide pool of networking opportunities for tech industry professionals, startups, investors, students and media. TechChill Baltics 2016 expects to meet more than 400 attendees from the region, Eastern Europe and the USA.
