Mapiful enables one to design unique map posters of any location in the world.
Swedish Mapiful, a startup providing a platform for creating customized map posters, started as a hobby of four friends. During the first four months of its operation, Mapiful has received orders from over 50 countries all around the world and reached a revenue of over €100 000.
“Initially we hoped that our friends and family would buy some and just wanted to test if it actually worked. We got chocked when the orders started rolling in, we received over 100 orders during the first day and on day two international orders from the US, Switzerland, South Korea, and the likes rolled in,” says the CEO of Mapiful, Edvin Brobeck.
The basic idea of Mapiful is to bring your favorite geographical locations as a decoration element to your home or office. The customer can create customized posters on Mapiful’s design platform which is based on OpenStreetMap. The platform streams map data with customizable design layers, so instead of offering predefined set of places Mapiful enables one to design a poster of any place in a self chosen scale.
Once designed, the poster will be printed on high-quality matte paper and shipped to any part of the world.
