Sweden's largest entrepreneurship competition for start-up and growth companies

Serendipity Challenge, an annual entrepreneurship competition and technology venue open to all Swedish and Nordic start-up and growth companies is taking place next week, on July 3-5 in Almedalen. The competition’s finals take place during Almedalsveckan 2017 where 50 of Sweden’s and the Nordic´s most innovative, up-and-coming companies compete for the titles of Start-up company of the year and Growth company of the year.

The winners of each category will be awarded with a growth package, to a value of SEK 200 000, and a seat on the winner delegation trip to Silicon Valley, San Francisco later this autumn. The competition will also be followed by a conference with the theme “from startup to billion revenue company,” held in Stockholm in autumn 2017.

Serendipity Challenge aims to give exposure to entrepreneurship and hand company builders the opportunities to showcase their companies on the national arena. The competition also aims to highlight Sweden and the Nordic region as hotbeds for innovative, emerging enterprises that change, improve, and develop their respective industries on a global level as well as function as a connecting venue for entrepreneurs, executives, investors, politicians, and partners.

 

Founder and Competition Manager of the Serendipity Challenge, Omid Ekhlasi, stated “This year’s finalist’s are the strongest and widest selection to this point.” That’s high appraise from a competition, such as The Serendipity Challenge that has bred startup unicorns from the very first year of the challenge.
