Noona raises 1.5 mln eur seed

Noona Healthcare, a cloud-based oncology platform for patient-reported outcomes, has raised 1.5 million euros seed funding round for global scaling.

With Noona, cancer centres can identify severe symptoms earlier and target scarce resources to where they are needed most. The main partners of the company are Stanford Medicine and Helsinki University Cancer Center.

”The funding will allow us to focus on marketing the platform globally and building strategic partnerships, that we have already entered with pharma giant MSD among others. Our plan was never to make it alone – but together with the leading global players in the life science arena,” said Jani Ahonala, CEO of Noona Healthcare.

The round was led by Inventure, a Nordic venture capital fund. with Noaber Ventures, the investment arm of The Noaber Foundation, and Belgium-based digital healthcare fund Capricorn ICT Arkiv among other investors.

“Healthcare is undergoing a major digital transition. There is a lot of new data available to the industry, and companies like Noona can utilize the data to deliver better health outcomes,” said Ekaterina Gianelli, Investment Director at Inventure.
