Finnish Forenom Buys Estonian FridayFlats

Peer-to-peer property rental portal FridayFlats has been acquired by Helsinki-based Forenom, provider of serviced apartments in the Nordic region.

“The acquisition will lead to a platform with stronger geographical focus,” FridayFlats said in a letter to clients, adding the service will continue in all Scandinavian countries, Estonia, Germany, UK, France, Benelux, Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Georgia, Russia, and The United States.

“We are currently putting all the pieces together to provide you the best booking experience possible. Therefore, you may encounter temporary issues on the site during the next few days. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” the company said on the web-page.

Most employees from the old Friday Flats team have moved to Trip Republic, a travel planner service for all parts of trips — from hotels and flights to rentals, museums, restaurants, tours and more.
