Azets picks Universe for its 2,500 staff

Finnish startups Gapps has won an order for its corporate communication platform Universe from Nordic accounting, payroll and HR firm Azets, which employs 2,500 staff.

Gapps launched last March its Google-based corporate intranet for Google, filling the hole in the search giant’s offering in its fight against Microsoft. Universe battles 1-1 against Microsoft’s aging Sharepoint platform, which is heavy and cumbersome to use and even in big organisations tends to fail on a regular basis.

“We chose Universe as our communications platform while we believe it will support our international growth and building our new company culture,” says Vidar Bekken the CIO at Azets. “We want to achieve an open information sharing culture that is truly employee-driven.”
