AaltoES Throwing "Founders' Week" With Lineup Of Silicon Valley Guests

Aalto University’s Entrepreneurship Society is throwing a Founders’ Week: a week of talks, workshops and encounters with the aim to bolster the entrepreneurial spirit and startup culture in Finland’s growing ecosystem. The events run from June 4th to June 8th, starting with a talk by Finnish Foreign Minister Alex Stubb, and cumulating with the Startup Sauna Demo Day.

Flown over from the Valley are a handful of well known names who will participate in the week’s events:

    Russel Simmons, co-founder of Yelp
Sami Inkinen, co-founder & President at Trulia (Also at our Arctic15 -conference)
Paul Bragiel, co-founder at I/O Ventures
    Aaron Patzer, founder of Mint

Information on each of the day’s events, as well as registration information can be found on the Founder’s Week website.

Topics of conversation for the week include “Startups and Large Companies – A strained relationship or a source of synergies?”, Differences in Venture Capital – Europe and the US, Helsinki as the startup hub of Europe?, Founder stories – visions and ventures.

Last year the Helsinki startup community seemed to really rally around the Steve Blank week, so this year’s events seem well worth taking a look at.
