Real quick, Finnish game companies who are looking for funding should have the Angels Game on their radar. The event is sponsored by the Tekes Skene game program and Finnvera Venture Capital to give companies the opportunity to pitch to FIBAN (the Finnish Business Angels Network).
You have to apply to attend the event, and essentially they’re looking for companies that are looking for external funding, is planning an exit, or looking for external expertise. They’re targeting companies that is looking for a maximum of €200 000 from Angels, and of course they want to put game companies in front of investors that are interested in innovative ideas and rapid growth.
The deadline is October 31, and the application can be filled on on Finnvera’s site. Approved companies will be informed by November 7th, and will receive pitch coaching if requested.
We’re getting excited by all the awesome game companies popping up in the region, so we’re glad to see angel groups targeting this area. I hope to be writing about some funding stories soon!
